About Us

Established under the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Belt and Road Office (BRO) leads and co-ordinates the work of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to promote Hong Kong’s full participation in the Belt and Road Initiative (B&RI).

To take forward Hong Kong’s role as the functional platform for the Belt and Road and leverage our strengths as a “super connector” and a “super value-adder”, the BRO maintains close liaison with relevant Mainland authorities for enhanced policy co-ordination. It also organises programmes with the support of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and chambers of commerce, as well as with professional bodies, including the organisation of the annual Belt and Road Summit, outbound missions, and business matching and project participation events from time to time.
